Yesterday Yesterday, I was standing, Smiling brightly, looking at the sky, Without knowing that the next day, I would be terribly drowning, Asking for help, Almost die. Yesterday, the hope nestled in my heart, The wish whispered in my mind, The faith instilled within my soul, And that was when I felt the darkness seemingly creep in, The agony laughing, walking in line, The misery suffocating me, leaving me raw, So I struggled, looking for the light, Holding on to the vague good side, Even when I knew I could be dying — Within a flash, I could be out of sight. And yes, yesterday, Yesterday, I was feeling full of love, Looking at the world with my genuine smile, Letting myself get lost in a world full of sweet lies, And while grasping onto that thin string of hopes, Starting my journey, though still in miles, So I could still live in this world—dancing even with the devil Rooting for this beautiful life.
